GENERAL ENGLISH COURSES

Curriculum for lower levels

A 16-level curriculum has been designed to help students speak English reasonably well. The course book is natural English, which is a modern, speaking-centered general English course book that helps students use language naturally. Students who are absolute beginners might need to take prerequisite Avid Basic Courses (ABC1 and ABC2)

Curriculum for higher levels

A 22-level curriculum has been designed to help students reach a reasonable proficiency in English which is a prerequisite for many university courses. Higher levels curriculum help students develop some academic skills such academic writing and reading. For Upper Intermediate levels the course book is Natural English, which enables students to integrate frequent, natural language into their language framework. For FCE, CAE, CPE levels the GOLD series from Longman Publication ARE covered.

IELTS PREPARATION COURSES

Those who need to take IELTS for either academic purpose or emigration can enroll for our two-level course of IELTS providing that they have passed Intermediate level.
During the two-month IELTS course students get familiar with IELTS TEST and learn more about the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing on which they are tested in IELTS EXAM.

IELTS 7+ COURSE

This course has been designed for candidates who need a high mark in IELTS. During this 20-session course, students further develop the academic skills of reading and writing. The course books set for this level are A Book For IELTS and Academic Writing Practice For IELTS written by Sam Mc Carter.

CAMBRIDGE EXAMS

Students who are interested in earning a certificate from Cambridge University can register for the exams and take the Test in Avid School of English. Within a month of their taking the test students will get their certificates.
Pre intermediate Students can take KET, those at Intermediate level can register for PET and FCE , CAE and CPE students can take FCE, CAE, CPE Tests. More

CONVERSATION WORKSHOPS

Conversation Workshop is designed for higher level learners who want to develop more fluency and extend their vocabulary. Each session students will talk about a particular topic of public concern or general interest such as capital punishments, censorship, sports and so on.

FILM CLASSES

Film classes are ideal for high-level learners who are interested in learning language through films. Students who join this course can extend their knowledge of colloquial English.

We have a great range of English Language courses to suit all interests. Whether you want to learn English for personal or professional purposes we have a course that's right for you. Lessons are held in dynamic classes with a maximum of 14 students per group.
